Key takeaways from EY's new managers conference for creating Cultures of Growth
Three tips for new leaders on creating Cultures of Growth in your organization
A couple of months ago, I had the privilege of giving a Keynote Address at Ernst & Young’s Horizons and Unplugged Conference for more than 3,000 of their newly promoted managers on Cultures of Growth. It was wonderful to hear how these Culture Creators were so eager to lean into behaviors that will help support those they work with and lead. I want to share the three key takeaways I had for this group of new leaders that apply to Culture Creators in every industry.
Understanding your and your team's Mindset Triggers is a critical step in creating a Culture of Growth. You have to understand these triggers in order to create environments where people are leaning into their growth mindset more of the time.
Holding an individual growth mindset is not enough to make the change you want or reach the outcomes you are striving for. Our job as leaders in an organization is to scale our impact through others. We can only do that by creating cultures where everyone has the support they need to thrive.
The journey to creating a Culture of Growth is always better in community, so create a Culture of Growth pod to talk about successes and challenges to creating a Culture of Growth.
Do you think your team or organization could benefit from a talk about how to create cultures where everyone has the resources and supports that they need to thrive? Let me know! I’d love to talk more about how we can bring this to your organization.
