Equity Accelerator Appoints Michelle Amador as Chief Growth Officer
Seasoned Philanthropic Leader Brings Over Two Decades of Experience in Resource Development, Equity Advocacy, and Mission-Driven Growth
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Amador as our new Chief Growth Officer. Michelle joins EA during a time when businesses and colleges are increasingly looking to us for help with creating institutional change for equity. She will lead our revenue strategy, business development, and relationship management to ensure EA’s long-term financial sustainability and impact in creating more equitable working and learning environments.
With more than 20 years of strategic leadership experience, Michelle has generated $40 million in support for nonprofit organizations in New York and California. Her expertise spans resource development, equity advocacy, and creative engagement. As a volunteer co-founding organizer of the Cultural Solidarity Fund in New York City, she supported efforts to raise $1 million in microgrants for 2,000 cultural workers severely impacted by the pandemic. This work was documented in From Regranting to Redistribution, a Mellon Foundation-supported guide on community-centered funding strategies.
A data-driven leader and frequent speaker, Michelle contributes to national conversations on creative resilience, equity, and trust-based philanthropy. She is known for building high-performing teams and fostering collaborative cultures that align with mission-driven goals. We look forward to Michelle applying her expertise and passion at EA.
